Loic Sumfor – FALL

Loic Sumfor captures the terrifying and exhilarating moment of emotional surrender with FALL, an Afro pop and RnB fusion record from the Cameroonian artist that explores what it actually feels like when you stop resisting and just let yourself go.

Fall moves through a warm melodic production with Afrobeat influenced rhythms and contemporary RnB textures that create a listening experience sitting somewhere between euphoric and vulnerable, mirroring the emotional state of someone caught between the desire to protect themselves and the pull of something worth the risk. Loic’s vocals carry a fluid ease throughout and the lyrical direction stays focused on that specific moment of choosing to fall rather than being pushed, which gives the song a romantic intentionality that makes it feel more thoughtful than the average love record.

Loic Sumfor has been building his profile as one of the more interesting voices coming out of the Cameroonian music scene, blending francophone African musical sensibility with contemporary global RnB influences in a way that feels natural and distinctly his own rather than derivative of any single reference point. His releases reflect an artist with a clear sonic identity who is developing it steadily with each new project rather than chasing whatever the market currently rewards.

This track has the kind of smooth magnetic pull that makes complete sense as a title because by the time the song ends you realise you already fell for it somewhere in the first thirty seconds.

Stay Tuned and Enjoy!
