Jerry – Jerry Season

Jerry steps into his own name with full confidence on Jerry Season, a Nigerian Afrobeats record that announces a moment rather than just a song and backs that announcement up with the kind of energy that makes you believe it immediately.

It is a track that moves on a punchy, groove-driven production that has an unmistakable forward momentum to it, the kind of beat that feels like it was built specifically to carry someone introducing themselves to the world at full volume rather than politely waiting to be noticed. The vocal sits right on top of everything with a personality that makes the record feel lived in from the jump and the lyrical direction stays focused on establishing exactly who Jerry is and why this particular moment belongs to him.

This amazing singer keeps building his presence in the Nigerian music space through releases that consistently show an artist who understands his own energy and knows how to channel it into music that connects rather than just impresses. He is the kind of emerging act that the industry tends to notice after the audience has already decided and the audience is clearly starting to pay attention to what he is building.

This one plays like a statement of arrival rather than a polite introduction, the kind of record that makes you want to know everything that comes next from an artist who is clearly just getting started.
