Jahplaka – To The Bone

Jahplaka delivers a roots reggae record with real depth on To The Bone, a track that strips away the surface of things and speaks directly to the kind of truth that lives underneath everything we present to the world and everyone else in it.

To The Bone moves with a classic reggae groove built on warm bass lines, organic instrumentation and a vocal delivery that carries the lived-in authenticity that the title demands, making the listening experience feel like a conversation with someone who has thought carefully about what they are saying before opening their mouth to say it. The production stays rooted and uncluttered throughout, giving the lyrical message space to breathe and connect with the listener in a direct and unhurried way that reflects the reggae tradition of speaking plainly about things that matter deeply.

Jahplaka has been building a presence in the reggae and roots music space through releases that honour the spiritual and social consciousness traditions of the genre while bringing a personal perspective and vocal sincerity that makes their music feel current rather than nostalgic. Their work resonates with listeners who value reggae that has something genuine to communicate beyond the surface level pleasures of the rhythm, and To The Bone is a strong demonstration of why that audience continues to grow with each new release.

This record has the quality of music that gets more meaningful the more carefully you listen to it, the kind of roots reggae that reminds you why the genre has always been at its best when it refuses to stay shallow.

Stay Tuned and Enjoy!
