Joe Mettle – Faithful

Joe Mettle delivers a worship record titled Faithful, a Ghanaian gospel offering that speaks from the kind of personal conviction that makes the difference between a song about God’s faithfulness and one that actually testifies to it.

An awasome track that moves on a warm, full bodied contemporary gospel production that builds steadily without ever feeling rushed, giving the vocal performance room to communicate the weight of what is being declared rather than just performing it at volume for the sake of it. The record sits in that place where the production and the message are genuinely working together and the result is a listening experience that ministers rather than just entertains, which is the distinction that separates the gospel records that last from the ones that just pass through.

He has been one of the most respected worship voices in Ghana for a number of years now, building a catalogue and a ministry that has taken him across Africa and beyond through releases and live moments that consistently demonstrate an artist who takes the responsibility of his platform seriously. He matters right now because genuine worship leadership in recorded music is rarer than the number of gospel songs being released would suggest and his body of work keeps proving that he understands the difference.

Finds you in the right moment and remind you of things you maybe needed reminding of, the kind of gospel record that does not expire after a few listens but keeps showing up useful in different seasons.

Listen and Enjoy!
