Mckenna Grace – Ugly and Rotten

Mckenna Grace leans fully into her alternative pop instincts with Ugly and Rotten, an American singer-songwriter record that turns self doubt and inner noise into something surprisingly catchy and oddly freeing.

Ugly and Rotten wraps its emotional core in an indie pop production with a slightly edgy guitar driven feel that suits the lyrical honesty perfectly, sitting in that space where vulnerability and attitude occupy the same verse without cancelling each other out. The vocals carry a youthful rawness that makes the listening experience feel genuine rather than crafted, and the lyrical direction tackles the messy internal conversations most people have but rarely say out loud with a directness that is genuinely refreshing.

Mckenna Grace has been steadily building her music career alongside her well established acting profile, releasing material that makes it clear she is not treating songwriting as a side hobby but as a serious creative outlet with its own distinct voice. Her growing music catalogue is earning attention from listeners who appreciate artists willing to be uncomfortably honest in their writing rather than polishing everything into something more palatable.

This track has the kind of relatable messy energy that makes you feel slightly less alone about the things you think about yourself when nobody else is listening.

Stay Tuned and Enjoy!
